Atmosphere:
How does the work make you feel?
The work makes me feel melancholic and balance/ tranquility
Why does it make you feel like this?
By the use of the two colours for dark and light which presents itself unsaturated. Therefore this can show its negative emotions, such as gloominess and loneliness... or even a historic background/ story
Does the work create an atmosphere
The work indeed does create an atmosphere by using a colourless theme as a technique
Style:
Does the artist have a style to their work?
This image doesn't really much show it's own specific style, however with the use of making it colourless and also phase between two images from below and above, this could create the artist's style either way since anything has been done in the image is the style itself.
Is it contemporary or traditional in appearance?
Conteporary and traditional.
Design elements:
Which of the following design elements is prominent? ( colour, line, tone, texture, form, shape, pattern)
Colour, tone, form, shape.
How have they been used?
By introducing the use of making it colourless and also phase between two images from below and above.
What is the composition or layout like?
The composition and layout is presented mostly from the center, even though the image is filled in the whole frame screen. Though it could also be the separate two points if counting the blending of the two images from the two opposite sides, on top and on the bottom.
Content:
Is the work a portrait, landscape, still life or is it abstract
Portrait, and landscape
What do you see when you look at the work?
I see a woman's bottom half of her face and shoulders at same time as the top where it shows a photo of the landscape, of a river. And also the bridge over it, along with the sky leaning over.
What is happening in the image?
In my view, there is a lack of movement shown in the image, accept from the moving water and probably vehicles driving accross, along with the boats and small ships. Could include the woman breathing. . . other than that, the rest I could see is all stoned.
Based on what you see, explain what meaning you think that the work is communicating
Techniques and processes:
What is the medium of the work? (Drawing, photography, textiles, digital art, etc)
What particular techniques have been used? (Eg crosshatching, darkroom, batik, layering and opacity)
darkroom, opacity, layering, blending
How can you tell that these techniques have been used?
These techniques have been used and it is visible that those've been used. The use of mono colours could've been made by using either photoshop, or as for more of a traditional technique, darkroom could be the best reason and example to such thing like blending and mono colouring.

Socially, technologically, emotionally
Does the work relate to any other areas of knowledge such as science, religion or geography?

How does this work relate to the project?
This work is related to the project because of a clear effect being used for the manipulation of a woman's face, showing half of her identity by covering it with a bridge
How could this work influence your project and ideas?
This influences my project and my ideas because of the technique that has been used that created a melancholic effect
